Extended Schools Service

The Government aims for all schools to offer extended services providing support for children, students, their families and the wider community. The Extended Services that we provide at William Bradford Academy include all four-core areas.

1a. Primary Schools – A varied menu of activities (study support), including offering students a safe place to learn.

1b. Secondary Schools – A varied menu of activities (study support), after school care, holiday activities.

Both of the above include a varied menu of activities; offering extended learning opportunities, study support, out of hours  learning, revision classes, drama, crafts enterprise activities and sports coaching etc.

2. Parenting Support information, transition support, parental involvement, family learning groups, training and support for their families.

3. Community access to college facilities, adult learning, youth clubs and Communication Technology (ICT) enabling children and adults to develop skills.

4. Swift and easy referral to a wide range specialist support services such as health and sexual advice.
