Equality and Diversity

As a school we have an ethos that focuses on both equality and diversity.

We strive to operate in a culture where equality and diversity, in all of its forms, is respected and celebrated.

To comply with recent legislation we have devised an Equality Scheme with an Equality Action Plan and Disability Accessibility Plan. These underpin the 3 objectives of the Public Sector Equality Duty within the Equality Act 2010.

We need to have due regard to the need to:

  • Eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation and other prohibited conduct
  • Advance equality of opportunity between people from different groups
  • Foster good relations between people from different groups
  • All activities within the school are monitored to ensure that we show compliance with Equality Duty.
