Careers Guidance

At William Bradford Academy there is a careers advisor that is in school once a week for one-to-one and group sessions. In addition to this, we are able to facilitate a careers room located within the Academy for students to attend during break and lunchtimes. 

The Academy annually host a careers fair for all students and their parents/careers to attend.  Also, each year students attend the nation’s largest skills and careers event; The Skills Show at the NEC Birmingham.

University Guidance

Students wishing to apply to Universities attend one-to-one meetings with Student Services for guidance and help to complete their UCAS applications. Annual visits to Leicester and De Montfort University are held for students to attend sessions regarding student finance, UCAS application processes, personal statement writing, information regarding student life at university and campus tours.

Yearly, Post 16 students attend UCAS Conventions held at different University’s within the East Midlands area. The convention consists of over 150 universities, colleges and institutions providing information on a hugh range of higher education courses and career options.
