We attach very great importance to the transfer and induction process, we liaise closely with our partner schools and prospective parents. We want parents and students to have the best possible information and feel confident about their new school.
Applications for admission to the start of Year 10 are handled directly by Leicestershire County Council. We will always offer advice in line with the LA Admissions Policy but decisions about applications rest with the Local Authority.
The majority of students come to us from The Heathfield Academy, which takes pupils from all the primary schools in the Family of Schools. Our staff have worked closely with colleagues from Heathfield over the years and this ensures a very smooth transition process.
Our admission limit is 280, so we also have space to accommodate students from outside the catchment area. Significant numbers of students do now come to us from outside the immediate area. Parents are advised to discuss transport arrangements with us in advance.

Our vision is to enable a transformation of secondary education in this local area and to provide high
11-19 educational opportunities. This will be more than just the product of the two existing schools
due to the partnership
that Midland Academies Trust and North Warwickshire and Hinckley College bring.
Our mission is simple:
· Enabling all students to ‘be the best they can be’
· Ensuring all students have access to the best pathways through their education to help
them progress into the very best further/higher education and employment
· Working with and for the local community and being a ‘beacon of excellence’ for the local area
The new school is built on the shared principles of the key stakeholders; excellence, identifying and nurturing
talents in individuals, a belief that hard work and high aspirations produce exceptional results supported by
strong partnership with the local community, further education and employment.
